Is home dialysis right for me?

I don’t have insurance, can I still receive treatment?
Almost all patients would qualify for medicare the day they start dialysis with us. Social worker will help you apply for medicare and will handle all the paperwork. Leave the paperwork mess for us to sort out.
What would doctors choose if needed dialysis ?
When kidney doctors were asked about what dialysis type they would choose if their family members or themselves were to go on dialysis, over 97% choose Peritoneal Dialysis and home hemo-dialysis. In spite of that only 12% patients in US end up choosing home dialysis. Are you one of them? we are here to help.
Is there a higher infection rate with PD?
Most dialysis patients die due to infections of chest catheters used in dialysis clinic.
Although there is risk of infection of abdominal catheters, it is lower. More so, the belly catheters are not placed in your blood stream, hence less changes of infection of your heard and spread of infection in your body.
I am afraid to do home dialysis. Let professionals do it
Home PD is safe, simple, equally effective and much better on lifestyle. Dont worry, we are here to help you understands and educate. You go thru full training till you are comfortable. We want you to succed but as an absolute worst care scenario, you can always go back to your dialysis clinic.
